In November 1989 the Corona underwent a minor facelift, including a redesigned front grille with densely packed vertical bars rather than the earlier four horizontal ones. The Corona Coupe was replaced in 1989 by the Corona EXiV four door hardtop coupe. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Corona (eighth generation, T170), 1987 to 1991, coming after the 1988 model year and before the 1990 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Corona run from 1957 to 2001.
