The final NG refresh in Australia, from September 1989 to April 1991, was a minor trim and equipment readjustment. The Dodge Raider, a rebadged Pajero, ran through 1989. The first generation Pajero was in its eighth year, offered with the 3.0 liter V6 and the 2.5 liter turbo diesel with an intercooler in the short and long wheelbase body styles, and Mitsubishi would launch the second generation in January 1991. Over the 40 year run to 2021 more than 3.3 million Pajeros were sold.
