1989 Mercury Topaz

Automobiles

A driver's side airbag continued as an option for 1989, and the Topaz offered wood trim on the dash. The Topaz was the Mercury counterpart of the Tempo in its second generation, which resembled the Sable more closely after the 1988 redesign, and was available in GS, LS and AWD forms, as well as the XR5 sport coupe and the LTS sport sedan. After the 1988 redesign it resembled the Sable more closely. It was produced across several facilities in North America.
