For 1987 the model line was expanded with the extended wheelbase Plymouth Grand Voyager, offered for SE and LE trims and adding 7 inches of wheelbase for rear seat and cargo space, slightly shorter than the Dodge Dynasty. The 1987 Voyager received a mid cycle update, and from 1987 to 2000 it was also assembled at the Saint Louis Assembly in Fenton, Missouri. A fuel injected 2.2 liter engine was offered until mid 1987.
