In February 1985 the Lancer Wagon was released as a derived model of the second generation Lancer Fiore, and at the same time the Lancer Van was fully changed. Some grades had a sunroof that was fixed at the front and electrically opened at the rear. The emblem of the wagon was in the typeface of the Lancer EX, different from that of the Fiore. The Lancer Fiore of 1985 was in its third year as a sedan. The name Fiore is the Italian word for flower.
