1985 Mitsubishi Cordia

Automobiles

The engines of the Cordia were modified in 1985 so that the cars could run on unleaded fuel, with a new 1.8 liter engine in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms, the turbo making 116 hp in the United States on low octane gasoline. The Australian AC model was changed to run on unleaded fuel in late 1985, and the car was assembled in New Zealand. The Cordia XP was the model sold at the Japanese Car Plaza retail chain, while the Cordia XG was sold at the Galant Shop chain.
