The Bentley version of the Corniche was updated in July 1984 with a new name, the Continental, which it kept until 1995. It received revised and color coded bumpers, rear view mirrors, a new dash and improvements to the seats. The Rolls-Royce Corniche itself continued as a convertible, and by this time the Corniche had been produced for thirteen years in London. The Bentley twin of the Corniche thus left the Corniche name.
