For 1984 the Voyager was reintroduced as a minivan, becoming a divisional counterpart of the Dodge Caravan, after Plymouth had used the nameplate since 1974 on a full size van that was discontinued after 1983. Original commercials for the 1984 Voyager featured the magician Doug Henning as a spokesperson. It was assembled at Windsor Assembly in Ontario and offered in an unnamed base trim, an SE and a deluxe LE, with a 2.2 liter four cylinder or an optional Mitsubishi 2.6.
