1983 Mitsubishi Lancer

Automobiles

The fourth generation Lancer was launched in 1983 and still marketed with the Fiore suffix in Japan. An intercooler system was integrated into the existing turbocharged engine of the rear drive Lancer to produce 160 PS in 1983, in the GSR and GT Turbo Intercooler and the GSL Turbo with a three speed automatic. At first both the Lancer and the Mirage looked too similar, so Mitsubishi gave the Mirage a facelift with a revised grille.
