For 1983 the integrated garage door opener was updated to work with three doors, effectively a HomeLink transmitter of the time, and an electrochromic self dimming rear view mirror was introduced as a first time option. The Continental had a digital dashboard as standard equipment, including a multi function trip computer, and twin front bucket seats. The Mark VI ended its model cycle after 1983, and the Mark VII would arrive for 1984.
