1981 Chevrolet Camaro

Automobiles

The 1981 Camaro was nearly unchanged from 1980 and was the last of the second generation. The RS option was dropped, though it returned in 1989, and emissions rules gave Z28s two different engines. Helped by rising gas prices, production fell to 126,139. Because of emissions restrictions the Z28 came with two different engines, most receiving the 350 V8 available only with automatic transmission, and the 350 with a four speed was available in Canada.
