1979 Toyota Corona

Automobiles

The LPG powered 12R engine became available in the Japanese domestic market in February 1979. In December 1979 the 2T and 16R were both replaced by the newer 12T-J engine, reflecting newly tightened emissions standards for commercial vehicles in Japan, and in Indonesia the locally built T130 was available from 1979. It was model year 2 of 4 in the Toyota Corona (sixth generation, T130), 1978 to 1981, coming after the 1978 model year and before the 1980 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Corona run from 1957 to 2001.
