The 1978 New Yorker Brougham was available in two door and four door hardtop body styles, both the last United States built true pillarless hardtops with frameless door glass and fully opening windows. An optional St. Regis package had a partial formal padded vinyl roof with a fixed pillar and opera window. It was the final year that a two door New Yorker was offered, with a new segmented grille and dual accent tape stripes.
