The 1978 Century was downsized, over a foot shorter, several inches narrower and several hundred pounds lighter than its predecessor, and offered as an aeroback fastback coupe and sedan with a station wagon. Big block engines were discontinued and the new base powerplant was Buick's new 196 cubic inch V6 introduced specifically for the Century and Regal. This page belongs to the Buick Century model on its Buick make page, and it links to the generation and the neighbouring model years so that the whole run of the model can be followed in order.
