1977 Chevrolet Camaro

Automobiles

Intermittent wipers were a new option in 1977, and the 250 cubic inch six became the standard engine of both the sport coupe and the LT. Chevrolet answered the success of the Pontiac Trans Am, which sold over 46,000 in 1976, by bringing back the Z28 as a model in its own right in the spring of 1977, with about 13,000 built. The engine of the 1977 Z28 was not the same 350 that had been part of the RPO Z28 package shared with the Corvette LT-1 and L82, and it made 195 horsepower.
