Plans to update the P5 Landau with the front styling of the coming P6 LTD led to a P6 Landau design study, but the facelifted model was not built. The Landau ended in 1976 after three years, when the new LTD was released, as a luxury version of the Falcon hardtop made by Ford Australia. The Landau was a luxury version of the Falcon hardtop built by Ford Australia in the mid 1970s. It shared its running gear with the XB Falcon GT hardtop and its look with the P5 LTD limousine.
