The first 211 XB GTs built were fitted with a United States built version of the Cleveland 351 V8 engine known as the big port, and later XB GTs were fitted with an Australian built version with small port heads and a four barrel Autolite carburetor, rated at 300 brake horsepower. The XB of 1975 continued with power assisted front disc brakes standard across the Falcon range and a multifunction control stalk. The Falcon was a full size car made by Ford Australia.
