The 264 changes for 1975 included high energy electronic ignition and a catalytic converter. In March the Cosworth Vega was introduced with an all aluminum engine and electronic fuel injection, the first on a Chevrolet passenger car. The panel express version was discontinued at the end of the 1975 model year, and total sales fell to 206,239. The 1975 Vega brought the Cosworth Vega, the first fuel injected Chevrolet car.
