The Debonair of 1974 was in its eleventh year, with the facelift of October 1973, and the 2.0 liter Saturn 6 engine. It was still the flagship passenger vehicle of Mitsubishi Motors in Japan, competing with the Toyota Crown, Nissan Cedric and Prince Gloria, and sharing a tradition with the Toyota Century. The Debonair was a four door executive sedan introduced by Mitsubishi Motors in 1964 as its flagship in the Japanese market.
