The 1974 Ranchero was basically the same as the 1973 model, after the front end had been redesigned to meet federal impact standards in 1973, and it was available as the 500, the Squire and the GT. The Ranchero remained a body on frame coupe utility, with the Torino body, and the Argentine Ranchero, a Falcon utility, sold alongside it in South America. The Ranchero of the sixth generation was built from 1972 to 1976 on the Torino platform.
