The Landau was powered by an Australian built low compression version of the 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8 with 290 horsepower at 5,000 revolutions per minute, with a three speed automatic that allowed manual changes. In 1974 only a cassette deck and a full leather interior were offered as options. The Landau was a luxury version of the Falcon hardtop built by Ford Australia in the mid 1970s. It shared its running gear with the XB Falcon GT hardtop and its look with the P5 LTD limousine.
