1973 Jeepster Commando

Automobiles

The 1973 models were essentially unchanged from 1972 except for larger tires as standard equipment. It was the last year of the Commando, which was discontinued after the 1973 model year and replaced by the full size Jeep Cherokee, the SJ, introduced for 1974. The compact Commando had run for seven model years under Kaiser Jeep and then American Motors, with four wheel drive and a two speed transfer case throughout.
