The 1970 Zephyr was a Mark IV, a large car of similar dimensions to the North American Ford Fairlane, with the spare wheel stored ahead of the engine under the bonnet, freeing up luggage space at the other end of the car. The size of the bonnet was emphasized by the square cut styling of the wings. Although large, at least in Zephyr form it was not particularly luxurious. The Zephyr was an executive car from Ford of Britain, with the Zodiac and the Executive as luxury variants.
