The Debonair of 1968 was in its fifth year, with the "Continental-esque" appearance of slab sided body panels, squared wheel wells, wraparound turn signals in the front and tapered fins at the rear, and an MMC badge on the front grille denoting the newly formed Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. The Debonair was a four door executive sedan introduced by Mitsubishi Motors in 1964 as its flagship in the Japanese market. The word debonair means gentle, courteous, suave, lighthearted or nonchalant.
