In May 1967 the Minica was given another minor update, with a modified dashboard and a padded center to the steering wheel. The engine was also upgraded with the reed valve ME24D, which gave a useful 21 PS, and the top speed of the 360 and Minica rose to 90 km/h. The Minica was in its fifth year as a two door sedan. The Minica had a front-mounted ME21 359 cc twin-cylinder air-cooled engine driving the rear wheels. The Mitsubishi 360 and Minica competed with the established Subaru 360, Daihatsu Fellow Max, and the Suzuki Fronte in the late sixties.
