In 1966 Toyota launched the revised Publica range, designated UP20, next to the all new Toyota Corolla E10, and in 1966 Toyota also launched the MiniAce cab over van. In 1966 Toyota began to acquire kei car manufacturer Daihatsu. This was the first model year of the Toyota Publica (second series, P20), 1966 to 1968, which took over from the Toyota Publica (first series, P10); the 1967 model year follows it.
