One ton, C-30, 10 foot panel truck models were no longer available after 1966, the last year of the fifth generation Suburban. The generation had begun in 1960 with an independent front suspension and the styling cues of the late 1950s Chevrolets, and was replaced in 1967 by a sixth generation with the extended length that made room for the K5 Blazer of 1969. The Suburban of this generation also served as the basis for the Chevrolet Veraneio sold in Brazil.
