Grand Prix and all other full sized Pontiacs were completely restyled for 1965, featuring more rounded bodylines with Coke bottle profiles and a one inch increase in wheelbase to 121 inches. While other Pontiac coupes received the semi fastback rooflines shared with other General Motors divisions, Grand Prixes retained the exclusive squared off roofline with a concave rear window. It had a listed retail price of 3,426 dollars, and Pontiac won Motor Trend's Car of the Year honors for 1965.
