In 1965 Chrysler returned the Fury to its full size C body platform, with a lineup of the basic Fury I and the more trimmed Fury II and Fury III. The grille lost its chrome and gained two vertical stacked headlights on each side, and all models rode on new 119 inch wheelbases, with wagons at 121. The 426 street wedge V8 rated at 385 horsepower was introduced. It marked the Fury's return to the larger car class after three mid-size years, with a new grille that lost its chrome and gained stacked headlights.
