The production of the Colt 600 ended in 1965 with the start of sales of the Colt 800. It had not recovered the sales of the 500 despite its improvements, because its basic design was old. The Colt 600 was a five seat, two door passenger sedan with the engine at the rear that Shin Mitsubishi Heavy Industries made, and with the Mitsubishi 500 before it, it was the first step of Mitsubishi into the passenger car business.
