1964 Morris 1100 and 1300

Automobiles

On 17 February 1964 the Morris 1100 Deluxe four door sedan was launched in Australia. In 1964 the 1100 was Wheels magazine's Car of the Year. The ADO16 was Britain's best selling car, and the Morris badged 1100 was its first variant, with the Austin 1100 following a year later and the Vanden Plas Princess 1100 entering production in spring 1964. The Morris 1100 was assembled at Cowley by BMC, and was the car the Wheels magazine chose.
