The convertible returned for the 1964 300K, but the cross ram engine became an extra cost option, available on the 300K only. The new standard engine was a 413 with a single Carter four barrel carburetor and 360 horsepower, shared with the Imperial. Leather upholstery was no longer standard but a $94 option, which, with the marketing focus on the 300 Sport Series, lowered the base price by over a thousand dollars and brought the series' largest sales, 3,022 coupes and 625 convertibles.
