The Bel Air was given a facelift in 1963, which kept the body of 1961 and 1962 but changed its trim. It remained a mid range full size Chevrolet, priced above the Biscayne and below the Impala, in the third year of the fifth generation, with Biscayne and Impala models on the same body. The right hand drive export cars of this period were built in Canada and used a right hand drive version of the left hand drive dashboard of a Pontiac.
