1962 Wolseley 24/80

Automobiles

The 24/80 was produced by BMC Australia from May 1962, based on the British four cylinder 15/60 and externally identical to it. It was an upmarket version of the contemporary Austin Freeway, with different frontal and rear styling to maximise the perceived differences and so attract buyers from the General Motors Holden competition. The longer engine moved the radiator forward to a position in front of the bonnet locking bar, and the wheelbase was an inch longer.
