In April 1961 a Crown Standard 1900 joined the range, and the car now used the newer 3R engine while the smaller Tiara took over the outgoing 1.5 liter unit. American sales totalled just 225 cars for 1961, and the Tokyo show that year displayed a six door concept wagon called the Airport Limousine. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Crown (first generation, RS to S30), 1955 to 1961, and the Toyota Crown (second generation, S40) came next, following the 1960 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Crown run from 1955 to 2026.
