1961 Toyota Corona

Automobiles

In March 1961 Toyota introduced a more powerful 1.5 liter R series motor for the Corona, the same motor as in the Crown. Toyota withdrew from the North American market in 1961 after meeting little success there with the Toyopet. It was model year 2 of 3 in the Toyota Corona (second generation, T20 and T30), 1960 to 1963, coming after the 1960 model year and before the 1962 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Corona run from 1957 to 2001.
