Introduced on 15 October 1959, the 1960 Ranger was the only sedan Edsel offered, with the Villager name applied to two wagons, and the horsecollar grille gave way to an hourglass. A convertible was offered for the first time. The 1960 model shared so many body panels with Ford that its taillights, grille and trim distinguished it. On 19 November 1959 Ford discontinued the Edsel marque, and 2,571 Rangers were built.
