1953 Nash Ambassador

Automobiles

Changes for 1953 were small, such as chrome spacers on the cowl air scoop, but buyers could order dual carburetors and a high compression aluminum head producing 140 horsepower, the Le Mans option borrowed from the Nash Healey. The end of the Korean War began a battle for market leadership between Ford and Chevrolet, and a shift from a seller's to a buyer's market made life harder for the smaller independents.
