Production of the Triumph Roadster ended in October 1949. The car was never made in large numbers and was mainly hand built, with 2,501 examples of the 1800 and the larger engined 2000 version made. A successor, the Roadster TR-X, was announced and a prototype displayed at the October 1950 motor shows in Paris and at Earls Court. The 2000 Roadster was the final form. Production of the roadster ended that year in October.
