For 1942 the Zephyr based waterfall grille of the Lincoln Custom was changed to a broad full width grille that extended above and below the hood, which was also used in the 1946 to 1948 models. The V12 was enlarged to 305 cubic inches with 130 horsepower, the weakest point of the 1942 models. A special 1942 limousine weighing more than 7,000 pounds was provided to the White House for the President's use.
