By 1938 the Model K was selling in small numbers as sales declined rapidly with the modern Zephyr and the new flagship Continental more appealing to buyers. It was still one of the most exclusive vehicles produced in the United States during the 1930s, a V12 luxury car whose chassis could be fitted by coachbuilders with bespoke bodies, competing against the Duesenberg Model J. The Model K was a luxury car built by the Lincoln Motor Company as the second motor line of the company.
