1925 Austin Twenty

Automobiles

Front wheel brakes were fitted as standard to the Twenty from 1925, having been absent at first, when brakes acted on the rear wheels only. At the same time the wheels, which had been wooden spoked artillery wheels, became steel spoked. The four cylinder Twenty was also well known at Brooklands, where it was raced by private owners and by works drivers such as Lou Kings and Arthur Waite. It was the sixth year of the Twenty on sale.
