The Honda VFR750F is a sports tourer manufactured by Honda from 1986 to 1997, powered by a 748 cc liquid-cooled 90 degree V4 engine with gear-driven cams developed from the earlier VF750F models. Announced in 1986 after an initial press viewing at the 1985 Bol d'Or, it was deliberately over-engineered to restore Honda's reputation after the unreliable chocolate cams of the VF750F. Compared with the VF750F it had 104 hp instead of 83 hp and weighed 20 kg less. Production ended in 1997, and its replacement was the fuel-injected VFR800Fi. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 3 generations: the Mk I, RC24 (1986 to 1989 model years); the Mk II, RC36 (1990 to 1993 model years); the Mk II, RC36-2 (1994 to 1997 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
