The 600 Series is the compact executive car that replaced the Montego saloon in the Rover range on 19 April 1993, built on the underpinnings of the coming Honda Accord, with Honda engines, under an agreement reached with Honda in June 1989. It was positioned considerably further upmarket than the Montego, was never offered as an estate, and was replaced in 1999 by the retro styled Rover 75 developed under BMW's stewardship. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1993 to 1999).
