Honda made the Ascot, a compact sedan, and sold it only in Japan, between 1989 and 1997. The first generation produced two versions based on the Honda Accord CB series, the Ascot and, from 1992 to 1996, a pillared hardtop called the Ascot Innova. The second generation was a platform improvement, shared with the Japan-only sedan called the Honda Rafaga. The Ascot name was chosen with reference to the Ascot Racecourse and Ascot tie, in order to add to the model an alleged air of class and elegance. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the first generation (1989 to 1992 model years); the second generation (1993 to 1997 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
