The Series III Wolseley 1500 was introduced in October 1961, with revisions to the grille and the front and rear lights. In October 1962 the cars received the more robust crank, bearing and other details of the larger 1,622 cc unit now fitted in the Austin Cambridge, but unlike the Farina models, the Wolseley 1500 retained the 1,489 cc engine size with which it had been launched in 1957. Production ended in 1965. Its model years run from 1961 to 1965.
