The Series II Wolseley 1500 was released in May 1960. The most notable external difference was the hidden boot and bonnet hinges, and interior storage was improved with the fitting of a full width parcel shelf directly beneath the fascia. The Wolseley 1500 of the Series II was the small saloon with the Morris Minor floor pan and the 1,489 cc B-Series engine, the cheaper of the pair with the Riley. Its model years run from 1960 to 1961.
