The 1950 model year brought the VJ 3 Jeepster's first styling revisions, a new instrument panel and a redesigned front end with a V shaped grille with horizontal chrome trim, plus a new model with reduced standard equipment at a lower price. Willys' L161 Lightning six cylinder was offered in addition to the standard four. Sales recovered to 5,836, and production totaled 19,132 over the three years, with leftovers sold as 1951 models.
