In 1993 North American Camrys received the revised 1MZ-FE V6 while the Japanese Scepter kept the older 3VZ-FE for its whole run. Australia started selling the XV10 on 15 February 1993 with the then prime minister present, and Toyota began importing the coupe to Japan in November. It was model year 2 of 5 in the Toyota Camry (third generation, XV10), 1992 to 1996, coming after the 1992 model year and before the 1994 model year.
