The 1989 model year brought the mid life update in North America, with one piece bumper covers, new tail lights and some interior changes, and ABS could be ordered on the LE V6 and on the LE All-Trac. In Australia the car was facelifted in August, and Holden began selling a rebadged twin called the Apollo. It was model year 3 of 5 in the Toyota Camry (second generation, V20), 1987 to 1991, coming after the 1988 model year and before the 1990 model year.
